Beekeeping, Sister Bee |
Big thanks to Dan O’Hanlon and Gabe Blatt of the Cabell Wayne Beekeepers Association in West Virginia for inviting me to screen Sister Bee at HAS last week. What a wonderful experience! The people, the setting, the workshops… all beautiful. I feel blessed to have participated. Will write more later this week…

Thank you so much for being with us at HAS. This movie will be more than you will imagine.
I’m still a substitute teacher , I carry movies with me. This one will fit in any class at any level , from art ,english, agriculture, science, and I’ll make it math ! It was a pleasure to meet you for so brief a moment. Joe Taylor

Ha! Thanks for the giggle. (I love the idea of Sister Bee screening in a Math class.) Seriously though… there’s a book you might like – “A Beginner’s Guide to Constructing the Universe.” It’s math & geometry with tie-ins to art & industry. There’s a nice segment in Chapter Six on hexagons & honeybees.
Great meeting you at HAS! (Thanks for the “conference juice.”)
Much care,
Laura
